We know that our business customers across the public, private and third sectors are increasingly monitoring their carbon footprint.
If you need to report on your carbon consumption, then it can be helpful to understand the carbon produced through the water your organisation uses. We need to use a lot of energy to treat water and help it to travel to and from your business.
Discover Water has a handy tool where you can see the net operational greenhouse gas emissions (KgCO2e) per megalitre of treated water and treated sewage for each water company in England and Wales. While Welsh Water’s figures vary year on year, it will give you the latest figures. Simply match it against the consumption included in your bills to find out your water carbon footprint.
