How the Open Water market works in Wales

Any Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water business customer who uses more than 50 megalitres of water per year will automatically become an Open Water customer and be eligible to choose the retailer they would like to provide their clean water services, much like your gas and electric services domestically.

Business customers who decide not to switch Retailer will continue to receive retail services, from Welsh Water’s Commercial Retail Team, which has been set up to serve Open Water customers.

Business customers who switch Retailer will receive their retail services from the new Retailer and the new Retailer will be their dedicated point of contact for all your billing and water enquiries.
